C.W. McCall, 1975. Nobody nailed the trucking/CB culture of the mid-70's better.

this was the very first album I bought myself. It was when Convoy came out, but I couldn't find it so I got the only C.W. McCall record I could find.

We owned the 45 of this song. I think it was the B side to Convoy. I was 9 when it came out, and I thought CBs were the coolest things ever.

The sign on which the double-nickel's wrote
Is bending from the stream
Comin' off my shining Peterbilt
The sunlight brightly gleams
When every trucker's torn apart
With tickets and with fees
O who will take your yams and corn
From here to Tennessee?
"Confusion" will be my handle
As I crash a cracked and broken roadblock
If we make it we can all sit back
And have a beer
But I fear tomorrow I'll be in jail
Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be in jail
In the Court of the Crimson Convoy.
